We got so used to chatting online that we forgot how to talk to and see each other.
We speak using opposites because we feel simultaneously unsure when texting without visual access to a receiving voice tone and face.
“Yeah no, no yeah.”
“Been a minute, but a minute”
“So yeah, but no I mean yeah.””Wait-“
“I mean – “
Our unsureness and casual angst in communication has infected, evolved, and transformed common vernacular into something of a closed system of communication in which new speakers need to slowly understand past misunderstandings to avoid completely miscommunicating and being unaware of the miscommunication and misunderstanding.
Also spelling could further decline because of dependence on autocorrect and word predictors instead of knowing by heart.
